Please join us in furthering our mission to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of our community. Here's how you can help:
CORPORATE AND OTHER VOLUNTEER GROUPS:
The Volunteer Resource Center specializes in finding service opportunities that meet the passions and interests of corporate, faith-based, civic, and student groups. If you would like to find more ways your group can get involved in our community, contact us to customize an opportunity, or have us speak at your next meeting!
If you belong to a corporate or civic group and would like to plan a volunteer project, please e-mail the VRC at email@example.com.
INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES:
The Volunteer Resource Center manages a free volunteer website that is used by over 100 local nonprofits in need of volunteers. This website enables you to learn about local nonprofit organizations who need your help and to find one-day, ongoing or special event opportunities. You can even search by zip code, interests and agency name or check out the calendar of volunteer events to find a perfect fit for your passions. In addition, the search engine lets you view agencies' volunteer wish lists.

The Volunteer Resource Center exists to promote volunteerism and to connect volunteers with opportunities in Central Florida. We have a variety of services available to help progress your nonprofit's mission by recruiting volunteers and in-kind donations.
The Volunteer Resource Center serves not only United Way member agencies, but also nearly 150 local nonprofit organizations in Orange, Osceola, and Seminole Counties. Although the Volunteer Resource Center will work with all non-profit agencies, we are actively pursuing relationships with agencies that address our four Investing in Results priorities.
What are the benefits of working with the Volunteer Resource Center?
- We give you the opportunity to have individual volunteers, groups of volunteers and in-kind donations referred to your agency.
- We provide you with a free account on http://www.uwvolunteers.org/ so new volunteers and donors can search for your agency and volunteer opportunities.
- We help you gain community exposure by creating volunteer-focused events and publishing a holiday guide to giving.
- We communicate with you via email about upcoming events, trainings, and opportunities for your agency.
To join the Volunteer Resource Center, visit http://www.uwvolunteers.org/ to create an agency account, and be sure to select that you would like to receive emails about special events and opportunities.
