The Loaned Executive Program is critical to United Way's continued success in meeting our community's growing needs. Each year, businesses - such as yours - dedicated to making a difference in our community - commit to lending an employee or providing sponsorship funds for the 12-week fall campaign period. When you invest in this program, you make it possible to educate many more people about the positive impact they can make through the United Way.
The Loaned Executive Program begins with a five-day training session at Heart of Florida United Way. This intensive curriculum is valued at nearly $28,000 and features expert instructors who teach important job-and-life-skill courses, such as:
- Gaining confidence
- The fine art of negotiation
- How to close the sale
All at no cost to your business!
When training is complete, Loaned Executives are assigned to work on specific accounts under the guidance and supervision of Heart of Florida United Way staff members and lead volunteers.

"On both a personal and professional level, my time spent as a Loaned Executive with Heart of Florida United Way's annual fund raising campaign was an immeasurably valuable growth experience. In my five months with the program, I was able to sharpen my leadership skills in a new and challenging environment, build new relationships with leaders from a diverse range of businesses in our community, and make a real difference in the lives of our neighbors. But what makes me most proud is the knowledge that throughout my time as a volunteer I was a living example of my company's commitment to community involvement."
Anthony Giffen HR Assistant Walt Disney World Co.
"As a former volunteer chairman with the annual fundraising campaign, Bank of America Central Florida achieved unprecedented levels of community awareness that directly affected our bottom line."
