In case you haven’t heard: Tens of thousands of people could lose their Medicaid coverage due to a reversal of a COVID-era policy. But together, we can help.
On Monday, March 6, 2023, Heart of Florida United Way brought together community stakeholders to talk about the issue — known as Medicaid Unwinding — and how we can work together to support Central Florida families during this transition.
The community workshop featured remarks from the Primary Care Access Network’s Anne Packham, who grounded the group with data and information about the change. Attendees then participated in crucial discussions and brainstormed ways that local non-profits, service providers, and community organizations can support people navigating this change.
You can access information and materials from the workshop here, such as informative flyers you can share with your communities.
