In the spirit of compassion for our community, Heart of Florida United Way is proud to announce our annual spring volunteer experience: Share the Love. This February, we’re inviting you to join us and U.S. Hunger in making a real impact on the lives of those facing food insecurity right here in Central Florida.
While the holiday season often sees an outpouring of support for the hungry, our community struggles with this issue year-round. Often due to circumstances beyond their control, families are left without the means to provide nourishing meals for their loved ones — and this situation is not limited to any specific time of year.
Heart of Florida United Way recognizes the persistent need for support and is committed to addressing this issue head-on. Anytime is a good time to extend a helping hand and make a lasting difference — and that includes right now.
This February 17th at 11 a.m., we’re hosting our annual Share the Love volunteer event at U.S. Hunger. This is a special opportunity for you, your family, friends, and colleagues to come together and make a real impact. Our goal is to assemble 10,000 meals for families in need, and we need your help to achieve it.
That’s why the Share the Love volunteer opportunity is open to everyone, regardless of age. Families with children, friend groups, and colleagues are encouraged to join us for a meaningful and enjoyable volunteering experience. Minors are welcome, but they must be supervised by an adult volunteer accompanying them.
By volunteering with Heart of Florida United Way, you become part of a movement to create positive change in the lives of those who need it most.
