Jeniffer Post

A Passion for Service

Jeniffer’s journey began with her education at West Virginia University Institute of Technology, where she earned two bachelor’s degrees and three minors. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Relations and Human Resources, a Bachelor of Arts in History and Government, and minors in Economics, Sociology, and Human Resources Administration.

Her commitment to the military community was inspired by her time on active duty, where she developed a deep connection with her Army family. Motivated to give back, Jeniffer took on a civilian role to support the families of wounded and fallen Soldiers. Starting as a temporary employee at the Army Casualty Assistance Center in Alaska, she quickly rose to become Chief of the Army Casualty Office, overseeing casualty operations for 15,000 Soldiers deployed from Alaska.

Overcoming Personal Challenges

Jeniffer was already deeply involved in supporting veterans at HFUW when tragedy struck in March 2020. The loss of her husband coincided with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, forcing the organization to transition to remote work. Despite her personal grief and the challenges of the new work environment, Jeniffer found solace in continuing to assist veterans who were navigating the complexities of the pandemic

Dedication to Veterans

As one of two Case Managers in the Mission United program, Jeniffer’s responsibilities are extensive. She manages resources on the Mission United texting platform, providing financial tips, legal assistance, community events, and employment opportunities to veterans in Orange, Osceola, and Seminole counties.

Her efforts reach hundreds of veterans each month, and she personally connects an average of 50 veterans monthly to vital resources, addressing issues such as homelessness, food insecurity, utility assistance, and employment.

Beyond her professional responsibilities, Jeniffer is deeply involved in volunteer work. She co-chaired the Seminole County Veterans Advisory Council and was a member of American Legion Post 183 in Altamonte Springs, where she served as the Legion Post Adjutant. Her previous roles include Historian for the Orange County Mayors Advisory Council.

Jeniffer Hutchinson-Fernandez’s recognition as a Veteran of Influence is a testament to her unwavering dedication to veterans and her community. We are proud to celebrate her accomplishments and grateful for her contributions to Mission United!
