Impact Your Community!
Heart of Florida United Way’s Week of Action is an opportunity for you to roll up your sleeves to make an impact on your community!
Nearly half of Central Florida households struggle to afford basic needs. They are known as ALICE, or Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed. In an effort to continue our support for ALICE, Heart of Florida United Way has dedicated 7 days filled with volunteer project opportunities just for you!
The community-wide volunteer initiative is set to kick off on Jan. 19 and conclude Jan. 25. Projects will range from sorting food items at Second Harvest Food Bank, providing mentorship moments with students at local Boys & Girls Clubs, and beautifying the campuses for Aspire Health Partners.
Volunteering allows you to connect to your community and make it a better place. Even helping out with the smallest tasks can make a real difference to the lives of people in need. Be a part of solutions that makes a difference!
These projects will allow you to see the many ways you can support local ALICE families with United Way. Whether you are serving as an individual volunteer, with your family, or even with a corporate group – YOU can join the fight and start your year with ACTION!
