A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Volunteers and Sponsors for Making the Fourth Annual Community Baby Shower a Success

We’re still buzzing with excitement from our recent Community Baby Shower events here at Heart of Florida United Way (HFUW). It was an incredible gathering of volunteers, sponsors, and families — all coming together to support 150 new and expecting parents and their little bundles of joy. 🌟  

For the first time this year, we hosted the shower in two locations, ensuring the event was accessible for those across our service areas in Orange, Osceola, and Seminole counties. A thank you thank you goes to our host locations, Osceola Council on Aging and Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida.

From the moment our guests walked in at both shower locations, the energy was infectious. Our sponsors really stepped up, providing everything from diapers to adorable baby outfits for families in attendance. We are so proud that every family left with essential items to start their journey on the right foot. 

Highlights from the Baby Shower:  

• 19 pallets of donations were received, weighing over 8,000 pounds. 

• Families received over $400 worth of essential items, including a $50 gift card. 

Amazing Support from Sponsors: We can’t thank our sponsors enough for their generosity. Their donations made a huge difference in the lives of new families, and seeing the smiles on their faces was priceless. It’s heartwarming to know that our community cares so deeply about each other.

Incredible Volunteers: Our volunteers are absolutely incredible! They poured their hearts into making sure everything ran smoothly, from setting up decorations to assisting families with warmth and kindness. We couldn’t have asked for a more dedicated team to make these events special. (We even had an extra special volunteer this year, Swish from the Osceola Magic!)  

Community Support: The Community Baby Showers weren’t just about gifts; they were about creating connections and building a strong community. Families came together, sharing stories and making new friends — all while receiving the support they needed. The sense of camaraderie was truly inspiring. 

Looking Ahead 

As we celebrate the success of these Community Baby Showers, we’re filled with gratitude and excitement for what’s next. Together, we’ll continue to support and uplift our community.
