Meet Emerging Leaders member Quanisha “Tina” Nugent, who joined last year and likes to be able to network with other members.
Q: When did you join Emerging Leaders?
A: I joined Emerging Leaders in 2023.
Q: What inspires you as a leader?
A: What inspires me as a leader is the profound sense of responsibility and privilege that comes with the opportunity to give back to the community and society at large. Knowing that the next generation is watching, learning, and perhaps looking up to me as a role model, I am deeply motivated to set a positive example. It is an honor to pave the way for those who will follow, and I am acutely aware of the importance of laying down a foundation of integrity, innovation, and compassion.
Q: What’s your favorite part of being in Emerging Leaders?
A: Being able to get to know the wonderful people that are on our board.
Q: What’s been your favorite Emerging Leaders event/experience and why?
A: My favorite Emerging Leaders event was the turkey packaging event. It was my first time, and it was such good energy and great people.
Q: What’s your favorite way to unwind?
A: My favorite way to unwind is with a game of chess. I love playing chess!
Q: What’s the greatest advice you’ve ever received?
A: Be generous in giving grace to others because you may need that same grace one day.
