Heart of Florida United Way Welcomes New Board Members and Announces Leadership Changes

Heart of Florida United Way is excited to announce the addition of three new members to its Board of Directors: Jarrod Dillon, President, Business Operations, Orlando City SC, Orlando Pride, and Inter&Co Stadium; Susie Dyer, Community Volunteer; and Naveed Shujaat, President of Bank of America Central Florida. 

These accomplished individuals bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the organization, and their contributions will be invaluable as Heart of Florida United Way continues its mission to improve lives in Central Florida. 

In recognition of his extraordinary 27 years of service, Ed Timberlake has been moved to Emeritus Status. His dedication and leadership have been instrumental in the organization’s success, and his legacy will continue to inspire future generations. 

Additionally, Heart of Florida United Way is pleased to announce the election of its 2024-2025 Board Officers: 

  • Chair: Hope Newsome, Esq., Meris Law, PLLC 
  • Vice Chair: Naveed Shujaat, Bank of America 
  • Treasurer: Stephanie Gardner, RSM US, LLP 
  • Secretary: Jim Toscano, Esq., Lowndes 

Heart of Florida United Way would also like to express sincere gratitude to outgoing board members Peter Meyer and Michael Pattillo for their dedicated service. Their contributions have made a significant impact on Central Florida.  

With the addition of new board members, the election of new officers, and the recognition of departing members, Heart of Florida United Way is well-positioned to continue its vital work in the community.
