For the holiday season, Mission United partnered with Diamond Resorts to make the season extra merry for eight military families with children. The families were able to put together a wish list of items and Diamond Resorts teams became Santa’s helpers! From bikes and balls to basic necessities like blankets and toiletries, Diamond Resorts made sure that these struggling military families had one less thing to worry about this holiday season.

Being a veteran transitioning to civilian life carries a unique set of challenges. For many, overcoming the barriers of sustainable employment and securing stable housing can be the most difficult. In fact, one of the families was in the process of moving into a hotel that day until they could secure a permanent housing situation. It is because of our partners at Diamond Resorts that they were able to still have presents under the tree.
