Signature Investments: We invest in opportunities that increase the availability of needed vital services that will have a lasting impact on ALICE households and the community. We collaborate with and invest in our partners to be the catalysts for change.
Issue Expertise: Heart of Florida United Way provides insightful analysis, informed recommendations, and innovative solutions. HFUW convenes critical stakeholders to bring attention to pressing issues impacting our community, participates in and facilitates panel discussions, and provides content expertise, research analysis, and training.
Public Policy & Advocacy: Heart of Florida United Way works to ensure the concerns of our community are heard and considered in policy decisions. HFUW’s public policy work has secured crucial funding and policies for key programs impacting our community.
Disaster Response: We are recognized by Orange, Osceola, and Seminole Counties, the State of Florida, and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) as the primary source of information regarding human services resources for those impacted by major disasters occurring in the tri-county area. Heart of Florida United Way’s primary mission during disasters is to maximize community access to critical resources. We will adapt our information gathering and service delivery procedures to meet the circumstances of specific disasters.
